The Challenge

What they were up against

Vaultly's founding team had a validated idea for a personal finance management tool but no technical co-founder. They needed to go from zero to a live product in 8 weeks to hit their investor demo deadline — with bank-grade security, a flawless UX, and the ability to process real money.

Our Solution

How we solved it

We co-created the product vision in week one, designed the full UI system in Figma, and handed off to engineering by day 10. We built the React Native mobile app and Node.js API in parallel sprints, integrated Stripe for payment processing, and deployed on GCP with automated CI/CD. Security review and pen testing happened in the final sprint.

Insights

Key learnings from this project

Hard-won insights our team took away — the kind of knowledge that only comes from building in production.

Starting design and engineering in parallel (with a shared component library) cut the total timeline by 30%.

Stripe's pre-built compliance flows eliminated 3+ weeks of custom payment security work.

Having a live staging URL from week 2 let the founder demo to investors early — that momentum closed their seed round.

FAQ

Common questions answered

Can't find what you're looking for? Get in touch and we'll answer any question directly.

How did you build a fintech product so fast?
Parallel workstreams: design started on day 1, engineering on day 10 using early design components. Stripe's pre-built payment infrastructure handled compliance-heavy flows.
Is the app secure enough for financial data?
Yes — we conducted a full penetration test in the final sprint. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we use Firebase Auth with biometric support.
Can Vaultly scale beyond 10K users?
Absolutely. GCP Cloud Run auto-scales horizontally. The architecture was designed for 100K+ users from day one.
